First Day: Binding and Cutting

My first day at LBC books consisted of binding books and cutting books. The operation at LBC books is small, the intention is to create books "on demand" with small print runs. This enables books to exist that would normally not see the light of day due to overbearing costs of printing.

This involves that people actually have to print, bind and cut books for them to be ready for eager hands. After i was trained on the binding and cutting of books, i was left to bind copies of Crime Thought and cut copies of Anarchy 101

Here is a video of the book chopping.

Here is a photo of the chopper and some photos of the binder.

Most of the work by LBC is doing the bookwork, but there is space to work on more creative aspects, for example, the idea of commercials for books came up as well. The project is unique LBC is a small operation that seeks to make a big splash in the printing of anarchist and anti-political literature. I hope i can help them throughout my internship.
